Spinning on Louet wheels, Ashford country spinner 2, and spinolution. and Saori weavers

Julie came to the studio for a Saori try it class but she is also shopping for a new spinning wheel and she scheduled a time to come to do both at the studio.Shane ,her husband came too and was very attentive and listened as well!

First wheel  she tried was the LOUET S10C  5 SPOKE WHEEL it was set up in Irish tension with the

the Louet s10 C wheel breaks down  easily and fits in a louet bag or suitcase too.

next she tried the LOUET CLASSIC S10 WHEEL  ONE HOLE  with the standard flyer and bobbin, then the victoria travel wheel which is scotch tension  THE LOUET VICTORIA TRAVEL WHEEL and loved those as well.

Julie was more use to scotch tension but by the time she finished  trying them all she was defiantly  liking the Irish tension and double treadle more and more.
the great feature of the Louet s10 C's you can switch them out to Irish tension, or scotch tension! really amazing like three wheels in one, a regular flyer irsih tension, a art yarn wheel with the art yarn flyer, and the scotch tension option as well. ( the classic S10's   you can not switch out )

This is what the s10c loooks like with the scotch tension mother of all and flyer and bobbin on. a very versatile wonderful wheel.

Next Julie tried out the Ashford country spinner 2. She spun well on it but preferred the versatility of the Louets s10C.
She finished up trying the The new SPINNOLUTION POLLYWOG  wheel and spun well on it but she did not like it as much  as the LOUET S10C.

Next we started her on her  SAORI TRY IT CLASS.  Julie had never woven before

 But she did beautifully!
SAORI WX60 LOOMS allow a never before weaver to experience free weaving in a matter of minutes, full of life, fun not soulless predictable weaving imitating  that what machines  could do.

she is holding a branch she picked out  from my container  collected from our property  for her weaving . i removed the looms clipping rod she will tie in on at home !
she has a  beautiful wall hanging ... her first weaving ever to take home.
thank you Shane for driving Julie down and supporting  her on this fiber arts adventure.
