Saori weaving clases mommy and me and freinds sharing

Starting the new year with  Saori weaving classes this past week
Aylissa and her daughter Dahlia learned together just how fun  easy and expressive Saori weaving is.

It has been unseasonably cold here in northern california but perfectly sung and warm in the studio for inside  fiber activites
Six year old Dahila took to Saori  weaving on the Piccolo right away and was content and happy ! The two hours just flew by.

Aylissa tried on my Saori hat

And the SHADOWS OF MIDDLE EARTH SILK JACKET HERE

More student start arriving for classes

Mary amd Mellissa are freinds from Michigan visiting  each other in California. They are both seasoned weavers and always wanted to try out Saori weaving. They scheduled a TRY IT CLASS HERE
This a cool recycled plastic bag tote she wove I had to take a photo of! Plastic bags never looked so good! we do not get red plastic bags here in Santa cruz.

They really enjoyed the ease and quietness of the SAORI WX60 LOOMS

I showed the the the amazing Saori COMB REED HERE . what fun they had adding craming and skipping warps WITH NO RETHREADING!

Then they wanted to try on some of my Saori woven and designed clothing.

this is the PORTALS TUNIC FROM PLY MAGAZINE THIS WINTER EDITION HERE

IT LOOKS SO GOOD ON HER!

  and on mellissa !
